Councilmember Donovan K. Bilbro, Ward 5, was sworn into office on May 19, 2023. For the first decade of his life, Mr. Bilbro lived in the City of Seat Pleasant and after honorably serving in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command for a little under one term, he chose to return to his roots here in Seat Pleasant. Mr. Bilbro is currently the youngest member of the Council, but brings insight as the only Councilmember on the current Council that has worked for the City of Seat Pleasant as a full-time employee. He is a proud member of the City of Praise Family Ministries in Landover, MD & has become more active in the Young Adults Ministry there. Councilman Bilbro is the chair of the Human Services, Health, & Education Committee and a committee member of the Public Safety and Governmental Affairs & Technology Committee.
