Councilmember Raynor previously served as Councilmember on September 8, 2008 and was re-elected as Councilmember for Ward 4 on September 14, 2020. Mr. Raynor has lived in the area for 52 years and has been a resident of Holly Park for 25 years. Mr. Raynor has 5 children and 12 grandchildren. He attended Prince George's Community College, where he obtained an associate degree in Applied Science in Business Management, and currently works for the United States Department of Agriculture in the Mailing and Reproduction Management Division. Mr. Raynor held the position of Lead Operator, and within 2 years, worked his way up to Project Supervisor. During that time, he successfully mastered the operation of the center and collaborated with other agencies to complete projects.
Mr. Raynor takes great pride in participating in a groundbreaking project with Blind Industries Services of Maryland to create the nation's first blind-operated copy center in Beltsville, MD in 1998. In addition to his accomplishment, Mr. Raynor has been active in the community, where he served as a volunteer Assistant Coach for Cedar Heights Recreation Center's peewee basketball and Peppermill Recreation Center flag football team since 2005.
Councilmember Raynor is the former Chair of the Economic Development, Public Safety and Civil Rights committees. He is now Chair of the Economic, Planning, Development and Housing Committee and a committee member of Governmental Affairs and Technology, and Environmental Justice and Transportation.
